Establishing Mood with Color by TamberElla Establishing Mood with Color by TamberElla

This is only how I view things! Other people may have different views!

I am by no means a master of any of this, I'm just sharing my views :)

Hopefully this will be helpful to some people! :D I've been working on it for a few days now. Part 2 coming as soon as I have time! :XD:

All art here is me, *TamberElla

.......... There's one thing I don't understand..... How do I achieve this while still maintaining the colors of the character?

I'm guessing that these color schemes are not used for every page, but only on pages which are meant to carry extra emotional impact. So probably you might have normal pages where the reader can see the 'original' colors of the character.

hope you don't mind me asking, but how do you get the lighting like that, like do you colour it normally and put a special layer on top or something?

I would like to thank you for putting out such an interesting tutorial with color theories. I returned to it today as I was working on my photo as a cover art for a song I've almost finished, trying to find the right mood along with the soundscape and lyrical perspective (it's sort of ambient/post-rock). So I understand that colors aren't exclusive to merely pictures and drawings, since even the sounds and songs have their colors that gives them a sort of coherence that it gets easier to relate them to.

But I digress, you helped me get a grasp on how colors work along with the senses, even in the audible area. I'm looking forward to see the following parts of your tutorials! Cheers! ;)

My thoughts on the black and white scheme with the dog scene: they're exiting the dark into light; a kind of salvation or coming into brighter times.
Do you have a book published? Not joking. I would keep yours close with J. Peffer's(Neondragon's) both of you explain the impact of color so much better than my teachers(the lot of them) all through school.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
