Sorry for the wait guys. I had my first big test of the year and I was studying and we're reading the scarlet goddamn letter and my teacher quizzes us on specific sentences so I've been a bit tied up with all that :b
I adore the transitions of expressions. Atli's eyes are tense and not least bit happy about the predicament, Jin's eyes appear numb, hollow, unnervingly unfeeling. It kind of startles me. Said it once and will say it a thousand more times; I love this freakin' comic.
your technique was always amazing but your improvement and refinement of your characters is truly masterful. You should be proud, it's seriously a skill to craft something that captivates so many readers through the story and is such a quality artwork in itself.
Ahhhh, Scarlet Letter.... I liked that book at first. But then we had to dissect it for a month... Well and truly sick of it now. What I remember is essentially "town= evil, woods=freedom, Pearl=Christ figure, Dimmesdale is a idiot"
What sucks is when you are forced to turn something that was literary a good book, into some textbook assignment course.
Without the actual author saying so, much of the "hidden meanings" schools try to get you into seeing in text are most likely fallacy. Truly, if they just gave you the book asked you to read it and once you were done discuss the book- people would probably get much more out of it.
Gah, I was never a fan of any of the books I read in high school (Scarlet Letter being one of them). I understand reading them to keep the memory of their "greatness" a live, but if we could have mixed the year up with newer books. The Hunger Games would have been GREAT to analyze!
omg. HATED the scarlet letter... my teacher told me I would love it... AND i sparknotes that thing to DEATH!!! D:
the BEST thing known to man, are these children books of great classics. I passed all my tests by reading those my senior year of high school. i would check to see if there is a version of the scarlet letter
or... watch easy A... it's basically the scarlet letter.
I think atlis eyes chould be a bit big in the last panel in the matter of the distance from the eyes to the side of the faces... But well its a comic, anatomy is not important there I believe XD yours is still great btw.... love the second panel though! ...well and the page in general
Great page, but sorry about having to read the Scarlet Letter. I have a degree in English, and that's one of those books that is right at the top of the torture list. Next to Moby Dick, I think that one scarred me more.
I'm not really a huge fan of classic literature, and I was forced to rush through it. I have a very good friend of mine that really liked it, and we have similar tastes in literature, so you may end up loving it!
