Note: I should mention that Atli isn't actually sad, she's just tired, as Jin mentioned last page. There was a time lapse between the first and second acts and... well, kids get grumpy when they're tired ;D

We have no food in the house and I'm hungry ;____;
Bah. I need to work on commissions for the rest of the day, farewell.

A protective circle, I assume? You've just made this one hundred times more interesting for me. That obviously means they have something to fear.

I've been reading this since page 01 and I STILL have a bad time picturing Atli as a female. >.<

Well, I mean, can you tell male and female leopard cubs apart? Animals are generally pretty ambiguous and Atli is supposed to be a tomboy, not your "pretty girl" type :)
I always make my characters ambiguously gendered though: [link] The one with short hair is a girl, the shirtless one is a boy

I feel like the only person who thinks Atli is a girl and can picture her as a girl. ._.
I actually wish I could add ambiguity to my characters.

Haha no, i see her as a female, because she reminds me of Nala from The Lion King lol.

Yeah, unless you change the eyes or something like that, its difficult to tell males and females apart. I'm not saying you should, because I like characters like that :) And I got the feeling that Atli was tomboy-ish, so that came out good. I think it has to do with the voice, I can't picture a female voice when I read Atli's dialogue XD (I'm not saying you should change anything, sorry if it sounded like that!)
