I tinted the shading the color of the lighting, so the areas that show up as red light are actually me shading with a red color. First I shaded the entire thing with a gray (shading layer is on multiply, I assume you know that but if you by some chance dont, I have a tutorial here: [link] then locked the shading layer and using a soft brush, tinted the shading the different colors of lighting. I even tinted some areas green for a glow C: I also used the dodge tool on some of the flat coloring just a bit to make the lighted areas stand out more. After that, overlay layers and screen layers are good for the slights glow rim around the edges and such. At that point, I just go in and paint some of the finer light details with a soft brush, underneath the lines layer still, to give the colors a sort of soft merging effect. It's really just a lot of picking your colors carefully, plotting out where the go, and using the different layers to create the soft effect :3 Hope this has helped! C:
i absolutely love this pose. not only is it hard to do with just human anatomy, but you did it perfectly with the "furry" anatomy (i dont like calling it that really, makes me think of the pedos xD) the lighting is also beautifully done. im very jealous.
