*NOTE* If you are currently ALREADY on one of my commission lists, you will be receiving an email or an update within the next 1-2 days. None of this applies to you. *NOTE*
Hello guys,
Long time no talk! The first thing I want to mention is how incredibly grateful I am for your support all these years. A lot of you have grown up along-side me and I really do treasure every comments and message I receive. I'm not great at articulating thanks, I feel like anything I say would come up short of how I feel.
I also really admire all of you who have stuck through for years and years despite an ever-changing art style. I've gone through a lot of artistic phases with many of you and the fact that you're still here means so much!
The fact of the matter is, I started posting art online and meeting many of you when I was just 11 years old. I'm 19 now and my life's moving forward. I'm spending the rest of this year and possibly some of next year refining my portfolio to hopefully break into the visual development industry in Burbank. I've started doing conventions and Patreon and Gumroad and will be opening a more fleshed out online store soon, and hopefully will move my career in this direction.
I've been doing commissions for all of you on DeviantArt for the last 5 years, hours and hours each week, and it has been so amazing. I have gotten to work with so many amazing people, paint their precious animals and creative characters, and I will always always look back on these days fondly. And I don't want to make this sound like the end, because it isn't at all. I still will be taking commissions from time to time.
But I've been attempting to steadily move into mostly commercial work for the past year or so, seeking out mostly jobs in the entertainment industry, as I think my future lays there.
I get messages and emails almost daily asking mostly for pet portraits, and unfortunately I have had to let down many people in the last few months. I can no longer continue accepting a high volume of pet portraits. Create portraits in memory of pets who have passed on has been one of the most rewarding things I've done, and the heartfelt messages I get from pet owners mean so much to me. But this is not the type of work that I'll be continuing to do in the future. There's a chance that I may take 2-3 detailed pet portraits per year in the future, but for the most part, I can no longer continue accepting work that does not apply to my future path more directly.
What I will be able to take is these "Warm-up" style pet portraits, like the following:
No, they aren't the painstakingly rendered pieces that I've done in the past. But hopefully they will be able to take the place a little bit of the many pet portraits I've done in the past. My commissions are currently still closed-- I'm in the process of tying up loose ends and getting owed art out -- but when they open I'll create a list of 10 for each 3-month period. This will give me the flexibility to work them into my schedule as warm-up paintings.
In addition to these pet portraits, I'll be taking some of these graphic animal portraits as well:
I will also be open to doing full scene pieces, for those who have the time, energy, and budget to work with me on a fully fleshed out bigger piece like the following:
These will be few and far between, and taken on a case by case basis only.
I also am open to any and all commercial work inquiries. Please direct those to my email address, tamberella@gmail.com
Hopefully, the time that I will no longer be spending on pet portraits and other similar commissions will open me up to allow for more creative and much more personal work to emerge in my gallery. I'm dead set on finishing INK, and I'm going to attempt to increase the speed of updates. I want to create more work for art alleys, and more creative personal pieces. I have so much I want to do, and I'm very excited to share my ideas with you all. Thank you so much for coming along for this journey! Be

Bead Animals
Did anyone else make these guys as a kid? I was seriously obsessed with them, I feel like I had at least 20. Where did I get the materials?? The patterns? I have zero recollection....

What game do you have the most hours logged in?
I definitely have the most hours logged in Pokemon Pearl, back from around 2008! I used to spend entire days with my friends mining ore underground, and decorating my secret base! My friends on my soccer team would bring their DSs and we would lay on our stomachs in a circle during breaks and catch a couple minutes of play every chance we could, all trading to try to fill out our National Dex! It seemed like so many Pokemon back then, but there are so many more now! How about you?
Bonus Process Folder!
Hey guys! DeviantArt asked me to test out their new feature, the "premium folder" which is a system similar to Patreon for providing behind the scenes content to watchers, who can in turn provide a small amount of support to artists they follow! I'm always interested in there being more ways for artists to support themselves and make a living online, so I was happy to participate! I think any opportunity like patreon or ko-fi is really beneficial for artists being able to support themselves online, so Im really happy to see more of these pop up! I created a folder here: https://www.deviantart.com/tamberella/gallery/75761403/bonus-process-folder It's $1.25, and has 15 process images and tutorials you're welcome to check out if you're interested!! This is very similar to Patreon, but doesn't require leaving the website, which I think is very cool. This is likely a one-time thing for me as a "process" folder as I've switched to providing educational content for free moving forward

When your commissions do happen to open how much is it for a graphic animal portrait?
